The West Marin Equitable Communication Project developed out of the recognition that communication systems across West Marin are inherently inequitable and put many people at a disadvantage.
With the onset of COVID-19, these inequities were exacerbated as West Marin's marginalized populations become disproportionately affected by the health and economic crises.
It is incredibly important that health and other critical information is distributed fairly throughout West Marin.
In 2020, a Steering Committee and Advisory Group were formed - comprised of local and minority representatives in our community - to better understand the inequities that exist, and to learn how they can be remedied.
As a valuable member of the West Marin community, your input is needed. Together, we can gather the information needed to improve local communication pathways.
